I've been painted as a hater of note here by Black Twitter because I have low tolerance of bull shit but I'm really not and I am for anything good with proper potential. So I have decided to give all your popular hangouts you guys like a feature on this here blog however I know it'll be hard to get through to Kong Urban and SWAY but I'll not give up without trying. So what this means is I'll profile them, their gigs and all things nice but I hope not to bore you as you used to scandals. I still report live on your TL, so if I see a gig hyped up, I'll be there to hype it up too.
I have decided to go with #TheLinkUp by @KingDonEnter because not only was I here from its birth but because I can see so much potential on this, you gotta start somewhere. We often get reminded of how we never make twitter work for us, we just there to be popular, mean and funny but King Don Enter has actually flipped all of that, they can be all that I've mentioned but they have also found a way to make twitter work for them.
King Don Enter came up with a concept of getting all the boys to play FIFA14 for a prize, it was an existing idea but not as popular, they bombarded us with tweets promoting the tweets, from that FIFA Tournament #TheLinkUp was born.
The launch of #TheLinkUp came as a total surprise, we were not ready. Eyebrows were raised. Timelines were curious, “What is The Link Up” they asked. Answers came. Interest rose. The Link Up is for all of us not only the boys and some girls, what this means is that we will be chilling, watching and enjoying the set up, while the boys play FIFA on the side, Fun will be had on the other. It's a beautiful set up seeing that tweeps love meeting other tweeps to tweet about them the next day and who knows your crush might be there and you can Link Up it with him or her.
Let joy be unconfined; fun will be had, when youth and pleasure meet. Like other hangouts of the kind, it will first be silent, then talky, then argumentative, then disputatious, then unintelligible, then altogether, then inarticulate, and then drunk and fun will be had. So come join in on Saturday 02 August at Darkie Café, 10 Anderson Street, Marshalltown Jozi, because fun will be had. There will be laughter. There will be joy

Word is that #TheLinkUp will happen first Saturday of every month. So Link Up.
Spend all your first Saturdays of the month at #TheLinkUp and Link Up or be Linked Up either way Fun Will Be Had.
Remember fellas, The FIFA Tournament will go on, 16 players, R200 entry fee and the prize money of R2000, that can buy you a black berry Z10 and some data, I think but that's not the point, the point is this is a big deal.

What is nice is The King Don Entertainment keeps it's people happy, they improve with every gig.
So if you love meeting new people, you'll make your way to Darkie Cafe and Link Up and you'll also get to ask what inspired them to name the venue Darkie Cafe that's if you part of elite twitter and fake a lil outrage on how offensive it is, either way you win.
